New Frozen Yogurt Shop Coming to Stoughton

Selectmen approved the license for iCraze Frozen Yogurt, a new frozen yogurt bar opening at Walgreens Plaza on Washington Street in Stoughton.

A new frozen yogurt shop will be opening up as early as next month in Stoughton at Walgreens Plaza on Washington Street.

At their Tuesday meeting, Stoughton Selectmen unanimously approved the common victualler license for iCraze 2 Frozen Yogurt, a self-serve frozen yogurt bar.

This will be the company's second location. iCraze Frozen Yogurt has been operating in Shrewsbury for the past year, and was looking for the opportunity to expand.

Manager Thomas Tran, whose sister Samantha Pham owns the business, said the Stoughton location will have a similar set up to the Shrewsbury one. iCraze will be taking the old Starbucks storefront at the end of the Walgreens Plaza.

Customers will grab a cup, pick from 12 flavors of low-fat frozen yogurt (flavors are updated and rotate), add any number of dry candy or cereal toppings or fresh fruit toppings, have their cup weighed, and pay, Tran explained.

The cost is 48 cents per ounce.

Tran said iCraze is embracing the new do-it-yourself trend in frozen yogurt.

"[The customers] want to design their own cup."

He said the Stoughton iCraze is aiming for a mid-August opening.
