Stoughton Woman Gives Birth at Randolph Fire Station

Randolph firefighters helped a Stoughton woman deliver a baby girl at the Randolph Fire Station Wednesday morning.

A Stoughton woman in labor ended up giving birth to a baby girl at Randolph's main fire station Wednesday morning, WCVB.com reports. The woman's husband was driving her to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, but the new mom's labor pains were so severe that the husband didn't think they would make it to the hospital before the baby was born so the couple stopped at the Randolph fire station, Randolph Firefighter Steve Glassman said, according to WCVB.com. A group of seven Randolph firefighters helped the mom with the delivery, which went smoothly, according to WCVB.com. The baby was born at the station at 8:16 a.m. Feb. 6 and then mom and baby were taken to the hospital in Weymouth. The names of the mom and baby were not released. This past …
