Stoughton Man Arrested on Attempted Murder, Kidnapping Charges After Alleged Abuse of Girlfriend

A Stoughton man faces multiple charges, including attempted murder and kidnapping, after he repeatedly physically abused his girlfriend, and held her captive in her Bridgewater home for the past month.

A Stoughton man faces multiple charges, including attempted murder and kidnapping, after he repeatedly physically abused his girlfriend, and held her captive in her Bridgewater home for the past month. The woman, 50, sought medical attention this past Friday at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, having sustained facial, rib and back fractures, as well as bruising "all over her body," according to a report filed by Bridgewater Police.  Her boyfriend, Mark Crean, 49, of McCormick Terrace in Stoughton, was arrested in Wareham on Friday, and is charged with attempted murder; kidnapping; aggravated domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon; two counts of domestic assault and battery; drug to confine; and witness …

Owl Rescued at Cedar Hill Golf Course in Stoughton Stoughton Police, with the help of some volunteers, rescued an owl stuck in netting at the Cedar Hill Golf Course on Park St. in Stoughton on March 30. Police received a call reporting the incident at 9:18 a.m., less than two hours before the start of the Stoughton Community Events Committee's Annual Easter Egg Hunt, which was set to take place at Cedar Hill. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. *** Attempted Murder Charge Stoughton Police issued a warrant for the arrest of a Stoughton man following an incident where he allegedly choked his girlfriend and restricted her movement, Executive Officer Robert Devine said. Albert J. Myers, Jr., 22, of McCormick Terrace in Stoughton, was charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, and domestic assault and battery. The incident was reported to police at 6:25 a.m. on Jan. 2. Stoughton Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Argument Turns Violent

A 42-year-old man was charged with attempted murder following an incident early Sunday morning on Bell St. in Stoughton.

A 42-year-old Stoughton man is charged with attempted murder after an argument turned violent early Sunday morning, according to Stoughton Police. Police were called to 16 Bell St. in Stoughton at 12:54 a.m. on Oct. 21 after "several calls [reported] a fight and people yelling/screaming," according to the Stoughton Police log. In addition to attempted murder, Michael Safranek, 42, of 29 Bell St. in Stoughton, is charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon; and single counts of possession of a firearm while intoxicated and possession of more than one ounce of marijuana, according to the log. Stoughton Police arrested a 30-year-old man after he allegedly attacked his parents on Oct. 5.

Police arrested a Stoughton man for attempted murder, among other charges, after he allegedly attacked his parents the afternoon of Friday, Oct. 5, according to the Stoughton Police Log and the Stoughton Police Department Facebook Page. Stoughton Police officers Robert Kuhn and John Lydstone arrested Brandon Hensley, 30, of Ethyl Way in Stoughton "for attacking his parents, including the choking of one of the victims," the department's Facebook page reports.
