LIVE ON STOUGHTON PATCH: Follow Police & #Cards4Nathan on Patch

A convoy of hundreds of police officers, including a group of Stoughton officers, left Burlington Wednesday morning to visit Nathan Norman, a young boy with cancer in Virginia on Thursday.

  Stoughton Police officers joined area law enforcement departments Thursday to visit a young boy in Virginia with cancer. The journey to Virginia started early Wednesday morning when hundreds of police officers from departments around New England, organized by the Burlington Police Department, left the Burlington Mall to caravan hundreds of miles to help make the Christmas wish of young boy battling cancer come true. The boy is Nathan Norman, who, as reported on New Milford Patch, was diagnosed with brain cancer three years ago. Nathan lives with his family in Rustburg, Virginia. Like most little boys, Nathan loves to watch cops, firemen and EMT's speed to calls in shiny cars and trucks —sirens blaring and lights flashing —making no stops…

Stoughton Police Officers Part of Local Convoy Visiting Virginia Boy With Cancer

Nearly 50 police departments left the Burlington Mall Wednesday morning to deliver cards to 5-year-old Nathan Norman in Rustburg, Virginia, including a group from the Stoughton Police Department.

Members of the Stoughton Police Department, along with Police Departments from all across the Massachusetts are helping to make the Christmas season extra special for a 5-year-old Virginia boy fighting cancer. The only thing on Dawn Norman's wish list this holiday season is that her 5-year old son Nathan lives to see another Christmas—and that his wish of receiving cards, letters and patches from as many police officers, fire fighters and EMTs is fulfilled. Why? Because police officers, fire fightesr and EMTs happen to be Nathan's heroes.
