David Wade, 17, of Stoughton was allegedly shot in the chest by his 21-year-old brother and later died. The DA's Office has not ruled out that this was an accidental shooting. District Attorney Morrissey's press conference is posted in the media gallery.
David Wade, 17, a senior at Stoughton High School, died on Saturday after he suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, Norfolk County District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey said during a press conference held at the Stoughton Police Station Saturday evening. Morrissey said police received a call reporting an accidental shooting at a home on Turnpike St. in Stoughton just before 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 29. When the Stoughton Police and Fire Departments arrived at 779 Turnpike St. they found a 17-year-old male in the cellar of the residence suffering from a single gunshot wound to the chest, the DA said. A 17-year-old male who was taken to the hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to the chest Saturday afternoon in Stoughton later died, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney.
Stoughton Police and the Massachusetts State Police are investigating an incident at 779 Turnpike St. in Stoughton where David Wade, a 17-year-old male, suffered a fatal gunshot wound to chest, according to a statement from the Office of Norfolk County District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey Stoughton Police and Fire responded to the call at a home on the corner of Turnpike Street. and Barnes Road. at 3:27 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29.
