TOYS FOR TOTS EVENT COLLECTS TRUCKLOADS OF TOYS: The Capozzoli family had their Annual Toys for Tots Event Friday, December 14, at The Village Pub, 1272 Washington Street on Rt. 138. They collected a couple of truckloads of unwrapped, non-violent toys that will be heading to the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots program. The Capozzoli's made it a real special occasion, as they always do! They served an amazing home-cooked buffet, featuring turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, ham, gravy, meatballs, salad, and two varieties of wings. There were also raffle prizes for their guests, to generate funds for even more toys for Toys for Tots. Jerry, Pauline, Nicole and their family and friends buy all the food, and serve it all. REMEMBERING OUR VETERANS DURING THE HOLIDAYS: Please don't forget the brave veterans during the holiday season. The Pietro family has partnered with Mike Pazyra and the Town of Stoughton Veterans Office and The Last Shot in creating a drive for our Active Military and our Veterans in need. Our local Veterans that are overseas are in need of supplies for their care packages! Our Disabled Veterans and Our Veterans that are in Nursing Homes or Rehabs locally are in need of daily living supplies.   Below is a list of some items and daily living supplies for our Veterans. THE BEST THREE DOLLAR DINNER ANYWHERE! The Friends for Seniors held their Annual Christmas Dinner at the Immaculate Conception Church Hall on Saturday, December 1, and 300 grateful and very happy seniors enjoyed a delicious chicken dinner, with stuffing, baked potato, green beans, and a cake from Costco for dessert. The seniors got charged only a nominal $3 for the dinner, which also featured raffles. The Friends for Seniors do a fundraiser each year to supplement the cost. The food was prepared by Mike Sammarco and the Sons of Italy Crew - Donald Interrante, Dennis Gada, Alan Veterosa, Steve Signori, Steve Bates, Phil Glynn, Chet Collins, Nancy Patterson, Jo-Ann Signori, and Brenda Lehan.  There were plenty of local officials in …

Norfolk County Register of Deeds to Sponsor Toys for Tots Drive

A collection bin will be placed in the lobby of the Registry's building starting Nov. 26.

William P. O'Donnell, Norfolk County Register of Deeds, announced Monday that the registry will sponsor its sixth annual U.S. Marine Corps. Reserve "Toys for Tots" drive.   Donations of new toys and games for toddlers and children up to age 10 can be brought directly to the Norfolk County Register of Deeds building on High Street in Dedham until noontime between Monday, Nov. 26 and Wednesday, Dec. 19. A donation bin will be set up in the lobby of the building, which is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.  "We are honored that the Registry once again has the opportunity to partner with a charity like the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots drive," said O'Donnell in a statement. TOYS FOR TOTS FUNDRAISER BIG SUCCESS!  A fun time was had by the capacity crowd this past Friday night (12/9) at The Village Pub where hundreds of toys were loaded onto trucks for the U.S. Marine Corps' Toys for Tots program. Thousands of dollars were also raised via raffles and donations, including a $2,000 donation from the Prone Foundation. School Committee candidate Dr. Erdem Ural and Moderator Howard Hansen took time to get their election petitions signed. Several Stoughton businesses and organizations are holding holiday coat drives, food drives or toy drives.

Holiday Gift Drive For Tots, Teens and Seniors The Giving Tree at the Immaculate Conception Church on Canton St. in Stoughton is sponsoring a gift drive to help less fortunate children, teens and senior citizens enjoy the holiday. All gifts will be given to people from Stoughton who “need a brighter light this holiday season.” Gifts for children and teens can be dropped off at the O’Donnell Middle School or Stoughton Public Library and gifts for senior citizens can be dropped off at the Stoughton Senior Center or Stoughton Public Library. The auto and tire service opened Nov. 23. They will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots at their 566 Washington St. location in Stoughton until Dec. 12.
