After Loss, Stoughton High Boys' Basketball Faces Difficult (But Not Impossible) Path to Postseason
The Stoughton High boys' basketball team fell 61-50 to Taunton Tuesday night. Stoughton (6-9) needs to finish at least 4-1 in order to make the postseason.
The Stoughton High boys' basketball team hung with Taunton, one of the top teams in the Hockomock League and in the state (ranked 20th in the latest ESPN Boston Boys' Basketbal Top 25 Poll), but fell 61-50 Tuesday at home as the Tigers pulled away in the fourth quarter, with the Black Knights dropping to 6-9 on the season. Stoughton kept things close for most of the game, trailing 27-25 at the half. Midway through the third, Stoughton trailed 35-32 when Taunton went on a mini-run to take an eight-point lead with time winding down in the quarter.
