Longtime Stoughton resident David P. Bento passed away April 3, 2013 at the Kindred Hospital in Stoughton after a period of declining health.

The following is from the Farley Funeral Home website: David P. Bento, 65, of Stoughton, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Kindred Hospital in Stoughton after a period of declining health. He was the husband of Maria Fatima (Pimentel) Bento. Son of David Bento Rodrigues of Stoughton and the late Ines Espirito Santo (Ponte) Rodrigues, he was born, raised and educated in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal. He came to the United States in 1970 and settled in Stoughton. He worked as a welder for General Dynamics in Quincy for several years and then for Suburban Cleaners in Norwood. In his free time, he enjoyed working in his garage listening to the Portuguese Radio Stations, working in his yard, soccer and music. In addition to his wife, he is …

Roach died peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 23, at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing Home in Stoughton, after a period of failing health. He was 88-years-old. Roach served as Stoughton Fire Chief from 1961-1988.
Remembered as a fair and capable leader and as a caring mentor, Paul J. Roach led the Stoughton Fire Department, serving as Chief for 27 years, until his retirement in 1988. Roach died peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 23, at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing Home in Stoughton, after a period of failing health, according to his obituary. He was 88-years-old. Born and raised in Stoughton, Roach, a World War II veteran and Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps, joined the Stoughton Fire Department in 1953, becoming Chief in 1961. Roach was a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, where he was Past President of the New England Division and the Massachusetts Association of Fire Chiefs. David Wade, a 17-year-old senior at SHS, died after being shot on Saturday, Sept. 29. His funeral will be Friday with visiting hours scheduled for Thursday. A scholarship fund in his name has been set up by the Stoughton Public Schools.

The following obituary is from the Farley Funeral Home website: David James Wade, 17, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died accidentally on Saturday, September 29 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the son of Douglas W. and Karyn A. (Kemp) Wade of Stoughton. Born in Quincy, he was educated in Stoughton schools and was a senior at Stoughton High School. David was on his way to being a Triple Crown Recipient for playing three sports for all four years of high school. He was a member of the Stoughton High School football team, #56, as well as the track and field and cheerleading teams. He also volunteered for many school activities.
