Two adults and two children were transported to the hospital with minor injuries following a two car crash in Stoughton Thursday evening, according to Captain Scott Breen of the Stoughton Fire Department. The accident took place at the corner of Washington St. (Route 138) and Kinsley St. at 5:36 p.m. on August 2. A Toyota Avalon (sedan) and Lexus SUV collided, with the Lexus rolling over onto its roof, Breen said. Three of the patients were able to get out of their respective vehicles on their own, but the female driver of the Lexus had to be helped out by first responders, although luckily she was not entrapped in the vehicle, Breen said. There were no injuries in the single car accident, which occurred at 6:54 a.m. on July 17, according to the Stoughton Fire Department. Three people, all from Norton, were involved in the rollover on Route 24 northbound in Stoughton, according to Stoughton Fire Department dispatcher Joe Sbardella. The Stoughton Fire Department and Police Department responded to a two car crash on Park St. Monday afternoon, which sent four to the hospital, according to Lt. Brad Newbury of the SFD. Two Stoughton ambulances and an Avon ambulance transported the patients to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton with minor injuries, according to Newbury. The accident occurred at 3:50 p.m. on Monday, July 2 near the intersection of Park St. and Jones Terrace, near the Stoughton Public Library. One vehicle rear-ended another, while both were traveling towards Brockton on Route 27 South, Newbury said. The driver of a car was transported to the hospital via MedFlight late Friday evening, after a rollover car crash on Page St. in Stoughton. A car left the roadway and rolled over several times at 10:50 p.m. on April 13. The crash occurred at 391 Page St., Captain Doug Campbell of the Stoughton Fire Department said. The vehicle was found on its side so stabilizing rescue jacks needed to be used to prevent the car from tipping over. Then the Jaws of Life were used to extract the driver from the car. The driver was the lone occupant in the vehicle. The extraction process took about 30 minutes, Campbell said. The patient was said to be alert and oriented, according to Campbell. A head-on collision between two vehicles late Wednesday night in Stoughton sent two women to the hospital with life threatening injuries, Captain Don Jasmin of the Stoughton Fire Department said. The crash occurred on March 21 at 11:03 p.m. at the intersection of Park and Turnpike Streets. A MedFlight was requested but was unavailable due to foggy weather conditions where the helicopter was stationed, Jasmin said. A box truck collided with a small sedan late Monday night on Route 139 in Stoughton, sending two to the hospital, multiple media outlets have reported. The crash occurred just before midnight at the intersection of Turnpike St. and Hawes Way, at the entrance to the Stoughton Target. Since the town instituted so many turn restrictions in the downtown years ago in the interest of traffic flow there are a lot of "small" intersections in the area that had to pick up the slack so to speak, and this is one of them.
