Stoughton High Academic Hall of Fame Looking for its Next Inductees
The nomination period is open for the 2013 Stoughton High Academic Hall of Fame Induction Class. Nominations are being accepted until Dec. 14, 2012.
The following is a press release: The Stoughton Public Schools and the Stoughton Historical Society are pleased to announce that nominations for the 2013 Induction Class to the Stoughton High Academic Hall of Fame for Extraordinary Achievement are being accepted. The Hall of Fame was created in 2004, through the efforts of Joanne McEvoy Blomstrom in honor of her father, Raymond; and Anthony L. Sarno, Jr., retired Superintendent of Schools, to recognize graduates of Stoughton High School who have achieved notable success in his/her chosen profession either from a singular extraordinary accomplishment, career of exceptional achievement or significant contribution to society. People can nominate any time, problem is, if those in power don't wish to admit people...they won't. They are exclusionists who pick and choose only those "they" want. I submitted several names 6 - 7 years ago who are outstanding in their fields. They won national honors, are highly regarded by their peers, yet this small committe will see fit that only those that they want in will get in. Also, … more ›
