Stoughton beat Foxborough 45-42, withstanding a late Foxborough rally to improve to 11-5 on the season.
At the end of the Stoughton High girls' basketball team's hard-fought 45-42 senior night win Thursday at home, the team's six seniors and their parents were in no rush to leave the court, soaking up another milestone in a year full of them leading up to graduation. On a night when Stoughton honored seniors Megan Crimmins, Nicole Daniels, Mackenzie McGrath, Ariene Ohimor, Marlena Siegel and Emma Zuk, Stoughton coach Janet Sullivan relied heavily on this group to pull out the team's second win of the season against Foxborough, both of which were not decided until the final seconds. In a game of runs, the Black Knights girls’ basketball team had the two largest, and as a result, beat Sharon, 46-40, on Friday, improving to 10-5, giving Stoughton a win on senior night, and most importantly securing the team a spot in the state tournament. “Our team hasn’t made tournament in a long time, so we’re extremely excited,” senior Chrystal Holland said. “It’s great, it’s like the best feeling in the world to not only have a senior night, but win.” “[Holland] is a four-year starter and it’s the first time she’s made [the postseason tournament] so I’m…
