The March Madness fundraiser to help support the annual all-night lock-in graduation party for Stoughton High seniors, will take place Saturday, March 16 at the Portuguese National Club in Stoughton.
The following is from Party All Night Long: Party All Night Long (PANL) is hosting its third annual March Madness fundraiser on Saturday, March 16 from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Portuguese National Club, 21 Railroad Ave. in Stoughton. Past events has been so successful, this year it has been moved to a larger venue. While the Cash Elimination Raffle tickets (the chance to win $3,000 cash and three additional prizes of $500 each) have already sold out, there are still tickets available ($20 each) for the March Madness event itself. With one generous donor on board (the Prone Family Foundation), the Schools are looking for other businesses and individuals to join and partake in a "scholarship challenge," with the goal of raising $200,000 for this year's SHS graduates. "The greatest challenge that faces our high school graduates today is the staggering cost of their college education," the Stoughton Schools state in a scholarship brochure. A game of "Cow Pie Bingo" at the Stoughton High football field this past Saturday was a big success for the SHS senior class, and was an example of the creative fundraising that has been taking place since candy sale fundraisers were banned.
Cows roamed the Stoughton High football field this past Saturday afternoon, with dozens of onlookers waiting with anticipation to see when - and where - one of the cows would defecate on the field. It was all part of a game of "Cow Pie Bingo," a Stoughton High senior class fundraiser. Four cows from the Massachusetts 4-H Animal Science Program were brought to the football field, which was gridded off like a bingo board. Squares were sold for $30 each. If one of the cows did their "business" in your square, you got bingo. Faced with new nutrition guidelines this school year which ban the sale of candy for student fundraisers, clubs and sports teams have been thinking outside the box for ways to raise money, and the Stoughton High Class of …

A CRAPPY CONTEST! The student-athletes on the Stoughton High football and Canton High football teams will be the featured players on the SHS football field Thanksgiving morning, but a couple days later, on Saturday, Nov. 24 cows will take over Stoughton High School's football field! At 1 p.m., the field will be divided into grids and tickets are being sold allowing you to purchase one of these special squares of grid, grass and soil. Cows will then be allowed to wander on the field, and whoever owns the grid that the cow poops on first is the big winner of $3,000. The second cow's deposit will result in a $1,000 prize! SHEW IS BEING LESS THAN TRUTHFUL. While Shew was in Rye, NY, the same Mayor that hired him, fired him and it was for lots of reasons too. Shew's firing was not political nor based on an election. He was warned by the sitting City Council in the summer of 2008 that he wasn't doing his job to their satisfaction.
