Prior to the start of Friday's Stoughton High boys' basketball Senior Night game against Oliver Ames, Stoughton honored senior players Middleton, Bunce-Grenon, Oliveira, Grant, Andrew Valle and Aaron and Matt Mack; team manager Josh Brown, a senior; and senior cheerleaders Michelle Bisbee and Nicole Kerman. Stoughton lost 77-70, falling to 8-10 on the season. The Black Knights will need to win their final two games at the Walpole Tournament Sunday and Monday. Middleton led Stoughton against OA, scoring a career-high 30 points, finishing just four points shy of joining Stoughton High's 1,000 point club. Check out the media gallery for video and photo highlights from the annual Wednesday before Thanksgiving Pep Rally at Stoughton High, held prior to the annual Powderpuff game, and the day before the annual Thanksgiving Day football game against Canton. The Stoughton High band and color guard, SHS Cheerleaders, XClusive Knights, and powderpuff cheerleaders all performed. Stoughton High football senior captains Andrew Kelly, Mike Connelly, Adam Leonard and Aaron Mack spoke, as did head coach Greg Burke, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Marguerite Rizzi, Interim Town Manager Joseph Feaster, SHS Principal Julie Miller and Athletic Director Ryan Donahue. Video highlights from the Stoughton High Cheerleading team competing at the Hockomock League Fall Championships on Nov. 4.
Take a look at video highlights from the Stoughton High cheerleading team competing at the 2012 Hockomock League Fall Championships Nov. 4 at Attleboro High School. The meet was dedicated to Stoughton High senior David Wade, a former SHS cheerleader, who died Sept. 29, 2012. Senior cheerleading captain Donyea Holloway gave a speech before the start of the meet, leading to a moment of silence. She was joined by her teammates, wearing black t-shirts with an orange #56 on the front (Wade's number this year on the football team). Stoughton advanced to the Division 2 Regionals with its performance at the Hockomock meet. Milford came in first at the meet, followed by Attleboro in second and Foxborough in third. Text by Jeffrey Pickette; photos by Justin Braga: The Stoughton High football team, playing in memory of teammate David Wade, a senior who tragically died on Sept. 29, came away with a 20-0 win over Foxborough, Friday night in Stoughton, improving to 5-0 on the season. Stoughton scored just four plays into the game, a 40-yard touchdown run by Marcus Middleton. Imani Pina recovered a Foxborough fumble in the endzone just before the half to put Stoughton up 14-0 and quarterback Dan Eckler found Middleton for a 67-yard touchdown pass early in the fourth. Stoughton's defense bent at times, but never broke, coming up with a number of key plays to keep Foxborough off the scoreboard. Friday also marked Stoughton High's annual Homecoming …

David Wade, a 17-year-old senior at SHS, died after being shot on Saturday, Sept. 29. Teachers and fellow students remember Wade as someone who was always happy, supportive and smiling.
Fielding questions after the Stoughton High football team's 25-6 win over heavily-favored Mansfield Friday night at home, head coach Greg Burke said that the team's season "is dedicated to all departed Stoughton High football players. They're with us thick an thin. We're playing it for them and the former players that have been here since 1926." Late Saturday afternoon, less than 24 hours after this feel-good win, the Stoughton High football team lost another one of its family members, this time a current player. David Wade, 17, a senior at Stoughton High School, died on Sept. 29 after he suffered a gunshot wound to the chest at his Turnpike St. home, Norfolk County District Attorney Michael W. Andrew Kelly had a touchdown catch (from quarterback Dan Eckler); Malachi Baugh had a long TD run; Frankie Morris had two rushing touchdowns; Aaron Mack caught a 2-point conversion pass from Eckler; and Baugh (fumble recovery) Marcus Middleton (interception) and Lennox Green (interception) had big plays on defense.
