Stoughton Police Thank Community for Supporting Hurricane Sandy Donation Drive

After a successful drive to collect donations for victims of Hurricane Sandy, members of the Stoughton Police recently transported donations to Staten Island, NY. The Department issued a thank you message to the community for supporting the drive.

In the wake of Hurricane Sandy’s devastation to the New York/New Jersey area, the Stoughton Police Department kicked off a week-long donation drive starting November 5. The results were overwhelming. Asking for donations of non-perishable foods, water, clothing, etc., the Community Room at the Police Station on Rose St. quickly became filled with boxes and bags full of items to be transported to hurricane victims in Staten Island, NY. Stoughton Police Lead Community Effort in Helping Support Victims of Hurricane Sandy

After a successful week-long drive to collect donations for victims of Hurricane Sandy, members of the Stoughton Police Department left Sunday to transport donations to Staten Island, NY.

In the wake of Hurricane Sandy’s devastation to the New York/New Jersey area, the Stoughton Police Department kicked off a week-long donation drive starting November 5. The results were overwhelming. Asking for donations of non-perishable foods, water, clothing, etc., the Community Room at the Police Station on Rose St. soon became filled with boxes and bags full of items to be transported to hurricane victims in Staten Island, NY. Stoughton Police Organizing Donation Drive for Victims of Hurricane Sandy

The Stoughton Police will be collecting donations (non-perishable foods, water, clothing, etc.) for victims of Hurricane Sandy at the police station until Nov. 10. The donations will be sent to victims in Staten Island, NY.

"Saddened and horrified by the condition of our neighbors in the New York area" after Hurricane Sandy hit the New York/New Jersey region last week, the Stoughton Police Department announced on its Facebook Page Monday morning a way for Stoughton residents to help lend a hand to the storm's victims. Donations of non-perishable foods; cleaning products; bottled water; gently used clothing; jackets (and cold weather gear) for men, women and children; packages of new socks; underwear; and toiletries, etc. can be dropped off at the Stoughton Police Station (in the community room) Monday, Nov. 5 after 4 p.m. until Saturday, Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. The Police Station is located on Rose St. All donations will be packed, loaded into trucks and delivered …
