The following is from the Stanetsky Memorial Chapels website: Helen (Silverman) Bloom, of Stoughton, passed away April 1. She was the beloved wife of the late Fallon Bloom, devoted mother of Charles M. Bloom and his wife, Davida, loving sister of the late Ruby Silverman, Barney Silverman and Martha Eisenberg, and cherished grandmother of Michael Bloom, Emily Deininger and Jennifer Bloom. Bloom's funeral services will be held at the Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, 475 Washington St. in Canton on Wednesday, April 3, at noon. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be donated to a charity of your choice.

John J. O'Hare John J. O'Hare, 89, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on January 16. He was the husband of 63 years of Joan A. (Atherton) O'Hare. Son of the late John J. and Dorothy (Desilets) O'Hare, he was born in Haverhill, raised in Stoughton and graduated from Stoughton High School, Class of 1941. Mr. O'Hare was a Corporal in the U.S. Army and a Veteran of World War II, also serving as a paratrooper. He worked for A&P for 30 years before retiring in 1979. Upon retirement, he began a second career in sports. Mr. O'Hare began attending games and coaching Stoughton Little League and also served as a groundskeeper. He spent many hours at the hockey rinks and wrote sports …
