MURDER AT THE LIBRARY ENCORE: A mystery theatre presentation which took place Jan. 18 before a sold out audience at Stoughton's Town Hall is now available on DVD and can be seen on local cable TV. The Great Hall at Stoughton's Town Hall was packed Friday night, Jan. 18 for a sellout performance of the "Murder at the Library" production, a fundraiser for Stoughton's Support Our Library Association (SOLA). The following is a letter of thanks from Pat Basler, Director, Stoughton Public Library (click here to view a photo gallery of the production): To the Editor: The Stoughton Public Library Board of Trustees and I would like to thank the many people and groups that participated in the first "Murder Mystery at the Library" fundraiser last Friday night. SUPPORT OUR LIBRARY ASSOCIATION (SOLA) announces its formation as a 501(c)3 non-profit entity in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. SOLA was formed as a required fundraising and support arm of the planned Stoughton Public Library expansion. “As part of the public library construction grant application, we need to show strong community support,” explained Pat Basler, Stoughton’s Library Directory. “And SOLA will do just that,” she continued. The Library expansion plan was overwhelmingly approved by Town Meeting in May 2011.
