Police Investigate Shooting Outside Whiplash Night Club in Stoughton

Two were hospitalized as a result of the Sunday morning shooting in Stoughton.

Stoughton Police and the Massachusetts State Police are in the midst of an investigation to find the involved parties in a shooting outside Whiplash Nightclub that sent two to Boston area hospitals early Sunday morning. The following information is from the Stoughton Police Department Facebook Page: On April, 21 2013 at 12:45 a.m., a shooting occurred in the parking lot of the Trackside Plaza, adjacent to the Whiplash nightclub. Stoughton Police Officers were already on scene and quelling a fight inside the nightclub when the shots rang out. One victim was found on the ground of the parking lot with serious injuries and was Med Flighted to Massachusetts General Hospital. Synagogues in Stoughton, Brockton, Randolph Looking to Merge A Tri-Congregational Discussion on Regionalization for three local synagogues was held on Thursday, Feb. 14 at Temple Beth Emunah in Brockton. Representatives of Ahavath Torah Congregation in Stoughton and Temple Beth Am in Randolph also attended the meeting, which attracted over 250 interested parties. The plan, still in the discussion phase, is for these three temples to merge into one congregation and use an interim site (Temple Beth Emunah) until a new building is constructed. The recommendation to merge, and begin attending services at the interim location in July of 2014 is not finalized. Each of the temple’s congregations still needs to vote on the plan. The vote is …

UPDATE: Officials Meet to Discuss Safety in Stoughton Schools in Wake of Newtown School Shooting

In the wake of the tragic mass shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT, Dr. Marguerite Rizzi, Superintendent of Stoughton Schools said the District Crisis Team met Sunday to review Stoughton's safety plans and procedures.

Management at Lodge of Stoughton Responds to Safety Concerns in Wake of Shooting

ABOUT TOWN EXTRA: A Monday afternoon shooting at the Technology Center Drive apartment complex raises safety questions.

About Town paid a visit to the management office at the Lodge at Stoughton apartment complex to ask about the number of reported police calls there during the past couple of weeks. Headlining these incidents was a shooting at 404 Technology Drive at the Lodge at Stoughton on Monday, July 16, just after 12:30 p.m. The victim was shot in the lower back and was transported to Boston Medical Center. A resident named Joe, a 24-year old who did not wish to disclose his last name, told reporters on Monday that police have been there on a daily basis. He also said he was going to move elsewhere. UPDATE: Man Shot at Technology Center Drive Apartment Complex in Stoughton

A man was transported to Boston Medical Center with a gunshot wound Monday afternoon, suffered at the Lodge at Stoughton on Technology Center Drive. Police believe to have a "person of interest in the case."

A male was shot outside of an apartment building at the Lodge at Stoughton on Technology Center Drive, off Route 139, Monday afternoon, according to Stoughton Police Detective Jim O'Connor. The call came in at 12:32 p.m., Stoughton Police Executive Officer Robert Devine said. The victim was transported by the Stoughton Fire Department via ambulance to Boston Medical Center with what is believed to be a single gun shot wound to the lower back, O'Connor said. There are unconfirmed reports that additional shots were fired. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries, Devine said.
