Stoughton High Boys' Basketball Climbs Back to .500 Mark with Comeback Win Against Sharon

The Stoughton High boys' basketball team beat Sharon 58-55 Friday at home despite trailing the Eagles by eight points with just 5:15 to play in the game. Stoughton is now 6-6. Check out photos from the game in the media gallery of this article.

Photos by Justin Braga. *** While neither Joey Wilder nor Marcus Middleton scored in the third quarter, both came through with the game on the line in the fourth, helping the Stoughton High boys' basketball team erase an 8-point deficit and beat visiting Sharon, 58-55, Friday night. Wilder scored Stoughton's first four field goals of the fourth quarter, and Middleton hit the go-ahead three-pointer with 57 seconds left in the game and hit a pair of free throws with 4.4 seconds left to cement the win. Stoughton High Boys’ Basketball Pulls Out Victory at Sharon

The Black Knights avoided their second straight upset loss, coming away with a 50-47 win at Sharon Friday evening.

Leading scorer? Only two points. Most assists? Nope. Three clutch plays in the fourth quarter to help secure a Davenport Division win? Check. Stoughton High boys’ basketball captain Joe Bunce-Grenon’s two offensive rebounds late in the fourth quarter and his steal with 5.4 seconds left, sparked the Black Knights with Stoughton holding on to beat Sharon, 50-47, on the Eagles’ senior night. The Black Knights improve to 14-2 with Friday’s road win, while the Eagles fall to 4-12. With just under two minutes to play, Bunce-Grenon was able to box out his man and grab hold of a missed shot. Stoughton High Boys’ Basketball Shuts Down Sharon

The Black Knights improve to 8-1 with a 55-34 win against Sharon Tuesday evening in Stoughton.

The Sharon High boys’ basketball team did something many teams haven’t done against Stoughton High this year: stay even through the first 12 minutes of play. But, with the score tied at 15 in the second quarter of Tuesday’s game in Stoughton, the Black Knights went on a 14-4 run to end the half, eventually running away with the game, winning 55-34. Stoughton improves to 8-1, recording their seventh double-digit victory of the season. Sharon, meanwhile, falls to 3-5. Stoughton head coach John Gallivan and the Black Knights focused the majority of their game plan on Sharon sophomore Brian Mukasa, who came into Tuesday night’s matchup second in the Hockomock League in scoring.  The Black Knights used arguably the best defensive guard in the …
