UPDATE: Officials Meet to Discuss Safety in Stoughton Schools in Wake of Newtown School Shooting

In the wake of the tragic mass shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT, Dr. Marguerite Rizzi, Superintendent of Stoughton Schools said the District Crisis Team met Sunday to review Stoughton's safety plans and procedures.

The following is a message Dr. Marguerite Rizzi, Superintendent of the Stoughton Public Schools sent to members of the media and a letter to parents Sunday afternoon following a meeting of the Schools' District Crisis Team. The meeting came in the wake of the Friday morning shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT. Adam Lanza, 20, reportedly killed his mother then 20 children and six adults at the elementary school, before killing himself. Until laws are heavily changed to restrict all automatic weapons, high powered rifles, and buying bullets and magazines online, schools will have to get real security just like federal building, unfortunetly. we should push for real security services like hospitals and other public institutions that have the potential for a threat. The New England Patriots will wear black-ribbon logos on their helmets and hold a moment of silence before Sunday night's game against the San Francisco 49ers in Foxborough.

Foxborough will be center stage of the National Football League world for the second time in six days Sunday night when the New England Patriots host the San Francisco 49ers in primetime on NBC's Sunday Night Football. But even a game with so much significance on playoff positioning will simply be less important in the wake of Friday's tragedy in Newtown, Conn. The New England Patriots, along with the rest of the country, will have the 26 victims of Friday's shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School on their minds and in their hearts at Gillette Stadium.
