The following is a release from the Old Colony YMCA: Old Colony YMCA is asking you to “Ride with us to strengthen your communities!” The Old Colony YMCA Stoughton branch will hold its "Ride for Strong Kids" Spin-a-thon, sponsored by CBIZ Tofias, on Saturday, March 24, 2012. Money raised from this event will support the branch’s annual campaign, providing financial assistance for community kids and families who without this support, would not be able to participate in YMCA membership, programs, camp and afterschool activities. With 12 hours to choose from and a variety of instructors and entertainment, there is something for everyone! You don’t need to be a regular indoor cyclist to participate in this event, you just need a personal reason…

The following release is from the Stoughton Old Colony YMCA: The Old Colony YMCA in Stoughton is getting ready to kick off its sixth season of the Smallest Winner weight loss competition this Saturday, February 25, at 11 a.m. The program originally began in the fall of 2009 and since its inception the Stoughton branch has seen 216 people go through the five previous seasons with a combined weight loss of over 2,500 pounds. How does it work? Participants will benefit from 12 weeks of workouts spanning from March through June. Each week will include one 60-minute team workout, and one 30-minute individual workout with their team trainer.
