A CHATEAU IS BORN: Joe and Jim Nocera and their families hosted members of the Stoughton Chamber of Commerce Monday night to celebrate the grand re-opening of The Chateau, at the former Nocera’s Restaurant location on Park Street. Nocera told the assembled crowd, “In 1986 our family bought this location. We looked at it last year and decided we wanted to freshen it up. We made a commitment and rebranded it as The Chateau. We're thrilled for this re-launch. "My family has always enjoyed being here. We're from Waltham, but we love the south shore. If there's anything we can do for the community, we will do it.” After being introduced by Chamber Executive Director Terry Schneider, Joe Nocera then announced a donation to the Stoughton High …

The guest speaker is Frankie DeSario who wrote a book, Badge #1, where he recounted his 45 years as a Boston police officer. There are stories in his book about the mafia, gangland, busing, race riots, thugs and corruption. BUSINESS ABOUT TOWN: E. Carvalho and T. Bressan (EMC Pizza, Inc.) are buying Olivio's Pizza, which is downtown in the building which goes from 752-754 Washington Street. They are keeping the same menu that is currently offered Town Spa was awarded two entertainment licenses at Tuesday's Selectmen's meeting. It will allow them to offer entertainment--with up to 10 musicians and singers--seven days per week. Attorney David McCarter of 85 Park Street represented Spa owner Dick Phillips. And, an attempt to open a second hand jewelry store/gold buying company on Technology Drive was unanimously defeated at the Selectmen's meeting Tuesday night.
