The band received a Gold Medal at the NESBA finals this past Sunday.
The Stoughton High marching band and color guard had another gold medal performance, this one coming this past Sunday, Nov. 6 in Lawrence at the NESBA finals. The marching Black Knights received a score of 94.5. Earlier this season, on Oct. 22, the band received a Gold Medal at a NESBA competition in Reading. The next day, on Oct. 23, the band received another Gold Medal at the MICCA Championship competition held in Lowell. The band and color guard’s performance theme this year is the “British Invasion.” The band and color guard will be performing at the Veterans’ Day parade on Friday, Nov. 11, at the football game against Oliver Ames that same night, and at Canton on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 24. The Stoughton High Marching Band earned first place honors last weekend at the NESBA competition in North Andover on Oct. 15 and at the MICCA competition in Norwood on Oct. 16. This weekend, the Marching Black Knights earned a Gold Medal at their NESBA competition in Reading on Saturday. On Sunday, the band competes in the MICCA State Finals in Lowell.
