REAL ESTATE ROAST ROSTER:  The Stoughton Chamber of Commerce is roasting another "victim" on Saturday, March 2.  After previous roasts of Terry Schneider, Francis T. Crimmins, Jr. and Mike Sammarco, this year's "roastee" is Stoughton real estate legend Fred Yaitanes.   Fred, along with his lovely bride Nadine Israel, owns the Fred & Nadine Realtor Team of Stoughton, which runs out of the Keller Williams Office in Easton. Fred is an active member of the Food Pantry Foundation of Stoughton, and recently directed a murder mystery at Town Hall that raised over $3,000 for SOLA (Support Our Library Association).  The roast, which runs from 7-9:30 p.m. at the Portuguese National Club at 21 Railroad Avenue, will feature decadent desserts and a lot…

LETTER: Murder Mystery Fundraiser in Stoughton a "Huge Success"

Stoughton Library Director Pat Basler thanks those involved with the "Murder at the Library" production, a fundraiser for Stoughton's Support Our Library Association, held Friday evening, Jan. 18 at Stoughton's Town Hall.

The Great Hall at Stoughton's Town Hall was packed Friday night, Jan. 18 for a sellout performance of the "Murder at the Library" production, a fundraiser for Stoughton's Support Our Library Association (SOLA). The following is a letter of thanks from Pat Basler, Director, Stoughton Public Library (click here to view a photo gallery of the production):   To the Editor:   The Stoughton Public Library Board of Trustees and I would like to thank the many people and groups that participated in the first "Murder Mystery at the Library" fundraiser last Friday night.  This murder mystery spoof was a huge success on many levels.  It brought over 200 people out on a Friday night in January to enjoy amateur comedy in the beautiful Great Hall of Town…

ABOUT TOWN: A Murder Mystery at Stoughton's Town Hall

MURDER AT TOWN HALL!  Tickets have just gone on sale for the Support Our Library Association (SOLA) fundraising theatrical production in January, titled "Murder at the Library." This "Murder at the Library" will actually be held at the Great Hall on the third floor of Town Hall on Friday, January 18 (with a snow date of the January 25.)  The fun starts at 7 p.m. There is limited seating, so get your tickets early! Tickets are $15 before December 15, and $20 per ticket after that, and at the door (if available). This murder mystery is for those over 21, as beer and wine will be available for purchase. Snacks will also be available.
