O'Donnell Middle School Students in Stoughton Overwhelmingly Back Obama in Mock Vote

OMS students took part in a mock election Monday, Nov. 5 during the school day, getting to experience the election process from start to finish.

With Stoughton schools closed on Tuesday for Election Day, the entire student body at the O'Donnell Middle School took part in a mock presidential election Monday, Nov. 5 during the school day. When the voted were tallied, OMS students overwhelmingly backed the reelection of President Obama (70.1 percent to 29.9 percent), with 619 of the 883 students voting for the Democratic Nominee, Barack Obama. The remaining 264 voted for Mitt Romney, the Republican nominee. OMS students voted by precincts (their grades) in the school's media center, with students voting during their social studies class.
