Strong Second Quarter Leads Milford Past Stoughton High Boys' Basketball

The Stoughton High basketball team was in action Tuesday night, losing at Milford, 69-52, to fall to 6-7 on the season. With the loss, Stoughton needs to win 4 of their last 7 games to qualify for the MIAA state tournament. Tuesday night was all Milford, who after a slow start in the first quarter for both teams, came out firing in the second quarter and never looked back. Up 8-4 after the first quarter, Milford took a 35-19 lead at the half and led 52-32 going into the fourth. Stoughton showed heart throughout, not becoming discouraged and fighting back the entire course of the game against the now 13-1 Hockomock League Davenport Division leaders.
