A Stoughton man was arrested in Mansfield March 19, and faces multiple charges following a number of alleged break-ins around that town.
A Stoughton man was arrested in Mansfield March 19, and faces multiple charges following a number of alleged break-ins around that town. While on patrol around Old North Trail and Mayflower Dr. in Mansfield, officer Thomas Connor noticed a male on Donegal Way shortly after 9 a.m. on March 19. Observing the male, Connor called for backup. Later, officer Richard Hopkins reported one witness who observed the male walking around the neighborhood in a suspicious manner. The male was identified as Ryan Wilson, 24, of Kinney Ct., Stoughton. Wilson was wanted on an outstanding warrant for allegedly breaking in to houses in the area and was soon found and arrested. He was given $93.48 back in change. He passed a counterfeit $100. The bill had a watermark of Abraham Lincoln and a five dollar security strip. The bill did pass the marker test. Scholarship Established in Memory of Stoughton High Senior David Wade The Stoughton School Committee unanimously approved the David James Wade Memorial Scholarship at its meeting Feb. 12. Wade, a senior at Stoughton High this school year, tragically died following an accidental shooting at his Turnpike Street home Sept. 29, 2012. The scholarship will give 10 of his former classmates financial assistance in continuing their education beyond high school. Each of the 10 scholarships will be for $560, symbolic of Wade's football jersey number (56) this season at SHS. The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for the arrest of Ahmad Abousamra, who is from Mansfield, and formerly of Stoughton.
A 1999 Stoughton High graduate is wanted by the FBI for conspiracy to provide material support or resources to al Qaeda in an effort to kill American soldiers. The FBI said Wednesday Ahmad Abousamra, of Mansfield, traveled to Pakistan and Yemen to seek military training so he could kill American soldiers. There is a $50,000 reward for Abousamra's arrest. Abousamra lived in Mansfield, but was raised in Stoughton, according to the Boston Globe. Abousamra was an honors student at Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood for three years, according to the Globe, and attended Stoughton High School for his senior year, graduating in 1999. He is not listed in the SHS yearbook, but transcript records indicate he was at SHS for his senior year and …
