TOWN NETS SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS AT AUCTION: The Town of Stoughton put four parcels up for auction on March 14, and came away with $60,000. Two of the parcels—a 10 acre lot on Central Street, across from the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, and a 2.5 acre lot on Sumner Street not far from Cedar Hill Golf Course—got bids that were not the minimum that Town Treasurer Donna Erickson, Town Manager Francis T. Crimmins, Jr. , and Town Counsel Jena Munoz were looking for. That figure on each was $100,000. A bid of $50,000 was received for the 10 acre parcel, for example. Two of the parcels were auctioned, however. A 3.6 acre parcel of vacant land on Central Street near the Brockton line, sold for $55,000 this year to Alfred J. Peterson, whose family owns…
