Former Boys’ Basketball Star Kris Joyce Honored by Stoughton High
Kris Joyce’s name was added to the banner honoring the school’s 1,000-point scorers. Joyce (SHS ’11) was recognized at halftime of a February 14 game against Canton.
At halftime of their final home game of the regular season Tuesday against Canton, the Stoughton High boys’ basketball team and the Stoughton High Athletics Department honored one of the most prolific scorers and best all-around players in program history, Kris Joyce, a 2011 graduate of Stoughton High. Joyce became the 12th player in school history—boy or girl—to reach the 1,000-point scoring mark. Joyce joined the club in a 77-52 win over Foxboro on February 5, 2011. His name was recently added to the banner of 1,000-point scorers that hangs in the Stoughton High gymnasium.
