OPERATION KIDSAFE A HUGE SUCCESS: Kiddie Academy of Stoughton held a Child Safety fair on Saturday, March 2, and dozens of families came by to enjoy the festivities. Operation KidSafe took photos and fingerprints of the children using a sophisticated video capture device. Each parent was given a quality 8.5 x 11 printout which can instantly aid the police in case of an emergency. Kiddie Academy, which is located at 1204 Washington St., had a number of activities and vendors on hand Saturday, in addition to the KidSafe station. The Stoughton Police and Fire Department were on hand, with goodies for the kids. There was a room of interesting vendors, some 20 in all (some we have pictured.) OPERATION KIDSAFE: A free child safety event will be held at Kiddie Academy of Stoughton, 1202 Washington Street, on Saturday, March 2, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Operation KidSafe captures your child’s photo and fingerprints using a digital ink-less video capture device, and specialized software. The captured data is then assembled and a quality 8.5 x 11” printout is given to the parent. The printout can be used to give law enforcement anywhere in the world information to INSTANTLY aid in an investigation. It should be noted that no database or records of children are maintained. Dozens of children and their families came out to see Clifford earlier this month at Kiddie Academy of Stoughton.
Kiddie Academy of Stoughton, an educational facility and child care center located at 1202 Washington, welcomed Clifford the Big Red Dog as part of its "Storytime LIVE" series earlier this month. Kiddie Academy in Stoughton held a Pancake breakfast with "Pancake Pig" and held a student art show last week at their 1202 Washington St. location.
Last week was a busy one for Kiddie Academy, Stoughton's new educational facility and child care center, located at 1202 Washington St. Kiddie Academy, which held its ribbon cutting in January, has programs for toddlers and school-aged children. From May 14-18, there was a Scholastic Book Fair Luau. On May 16 there was a student art show open house, featuring work from students as young as four and five through preteens. The younger children created their own types of dinosaurs and created their own planets. The four year olds who created the planets also had to also write a story about who would live on their planet and how they would get there. A Beatles cover band will also be performing as part of a benefit concert for the Stoughton Schools Music Department's P.O.P.S. organization. There's a bike ride tour of Bird St., a pancake breakfast at Kiddie Academy and a cookout at Podhale Deli.
Patriots-Police Basketball Game The Stoughton Police All-Stars take on the New England Patriots All Pro Celebrity basketball team at the Stoughton High gym Friday night, May 18, at 7. It's a fundraiser for the Stoughton Police Relief Association. Donations will be accepted at the door. Patrick Chung, Ryan Mallett, Steve DeOssie, Patrick Pass and Jermaine Wiggins are some of the current and former Patriots expected to play and Robert Devine, Shawn Faria, Robert Kuhn, Jen Sullivan, Brian Holmes and John Bonney are some of the Police that will be participating. A BIG LOSS FOR STOUGHTON: Herbert Musmon, a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals for decades, passed away on January 19, 2012. He was a long-standing member of Ahavath Torah Congregation in Stoughton, which held a memorial service in his honor. Herb was a leader on the ZBA, until his health situation forced him to become an alternate on the Board.
