P.J. Sheehan, a junior, had a season-high 65 saves in goal, and Mark Sheehan, a freshman, had three goals as the Stoughton High hockey team beat Taunton 5-1 Saturday afternoon.
Despite being outshot 66-18 Saturday against Taunton, the Stoughton High hockey team came away with a 5-1 win at the Alexio Arena in Taunton, thanks to another stellar effort in net from goalie P.J. Sheehan and a hat trick from his younger brother, Mark Sheehan. The win is Stoughton's second of the season (2-14-2), and snaps a four-game scoreless streak. The five goals is the second highest output of the season for the Black Knights. Stoughton was 3 for 5 on the power play Saturday. Still, as evidenced by the shot discrepancy, Taunton had plenty of opportunities to put Stoughton away, but P.J. Sheehan was outstanding in goal, Stoughton coach Dan Mark said, with the captain recording a season-high 65 saves in net. Sheehan has made a …
