Stoughton Police Make Drunk Driving Arrest After Woman Allegedly Drives Through Backyard

Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. *** OUI Arrest A Brockton woman was arrested New Year's Day for drunk driving after allegedly driving through the backyard of a Stoughton home. A caller reported to Stoughton Police that she heard a loud noise and then saw a vehicle driving through the backyard of her Ryan Rd. home at 5:53 a.m. Jan. 1. Police stopped the vehicle nearby, at the intersection of Sumner St. and Orchard Rd. Maria Lopes, 56, of Brockton, was arrested, charged with operating under the influence of liquor and operating a motor vehicle negligently to endanger, as well as two counts of leaving the scene of property damage. *** Hit …

90-Year-Old Stoughton Driver Charged in Park Street Hit-and-Run

Stoughton Police announced Wednesday morning that a 90-year-old Stoughton man was charged in the Dec. 8 hit-and-run on Park St. in Stoughton which sent a 15-year-old male pedestrian to the hospital.

The driver involved in the Dec. 8 hit and run on Park Street in Stoughton, which sent a teenage boy to the hospital, has been charged, the Stoughton Police announced in a release on the Department's Facebook page Wednesday morning. Harry Minassian, 90, of 433 Lincoln St. in Stoughton, is being charged with leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury; failure to stay in marked lanes; leaving the scene of property damage; and negligent operation of a motor vehicle, according to the release. The vehicle Minassian was operating at the time, a white 1996 Cadillac Seville, was turned over to police last week for processing. Cadillac Involved in Saturday's Hit-and-Run Turned Over to Stoughton Police

The Dec. 8 hit-and-run on Park St. in Stoughton sent a 15-year-old male pedestrian to the hospital. Potential charges have not been filed at this time, police said.
