Roy M. Swenson, Jr. Roy M. Swenson, Jr., 77, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly November 15, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the devoted husband of 51 years to Diana M. (MacDonald) Swenson. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in Dorchester. He was a Veteran of the US Marines Corps and served in the Marine Corps Reserve for over 20 years, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. Roy worked for Boston Edison as a 2nd Class Fireman for over 34 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of Utility Workers Union, Local 369, in Boston. He was a Proud American and a Proud Marine.
