Stoughton High Boys’ Basketball Avoids Upset Against Foxboro
The Black Knights trailed by one heading into the fourth quarter, but clamped down on defense and came away with a 7-point win on the road.
The Foxboro High boys’ basketball team kept Stoughton in check through three quarters, leading 47-46 heading into the final frame. Stoughton, however, upped their defensive effort, pulling away with a 62-55 win Tuesday night on the road. The Black Knights improve to a league best 12-1 while the Warriors fall to 4-10. Stoughton avoids the upset, picking up their sixth straight win instead. “They made some plays [and] we didn’t make some plays,” said Foxboro head coach C.J. Neely. “We didn’t get the scoring opportunities we did earlier in the game. They did a better job of getting out on our shooters. I’m real proud of the way our guys competed though.
