Assault Stoughton Police received multiple calls reporting an alleged case of assault at the Lodge at Stoughton on Technology Center Drive shortly after 5 p.m. on March 17. A brawl broke out a baby shower at Club Luis de Camoes on Porter Street late Saturday night with four people getting arrested, including one juvenile.
BABY SHOWER TURNS INTO BRAWL: A baby shower at Club Luis de Camoes on Porter Street Saturday night turned into a full-fledged brawl that took 20 police officers nearly an hour to quell. Four people ended up getting arrested, including one juvenile. A Stoughton Police detail officer was working the 9 p.m. to midnight baby shower on Jan. 12, when a fight broke out inside the club. The officer called in backup, and at 11:38 p.m, there was a full brawl in progress that had spilled outside the building. Executive Officer Robert Devine told me that the time the incident occurred was of benefit to the police. "We had our midnight shift coming in, so we had more bodies that we'd normally have." A 47-year-old Brockton man was arrested on July 2 after punching people in Stoughton Center.
Stoughton Police arrested a Brockton man Monday after he assaulted people in Stoughton Center and threatened police officers, SPD Executive Officer Robert Devine said. John Noonan, 47, of Brockton, was charged with two counts of assault and battery and disorderly conduct after several witnesses told police Noonan was punching people. Devine said Noonan was stationed by the bus stop in front of Honey Dew Donuts on Washington St. in the downtown. The alleged incident happened around 3:30 p.m. on July 2. Devine said the victims sustained minor injuries. Noonan, who was intoxicated, resisted police when they arrived, tried spitting on officer John Lydstone and challenged officers to a fight, according to Devine. Noonan continued his …

A West Roxbury man was arrested in Stoughton early Monday morning, charged with a number of offenses including assault and battery on a police officer and ambulance personnel, according to the Stoughton Police log. According to the log, the incident occurred at 12:38 a.m. on June 11 at Charl's Restaurant at 809 Washington St in the center of town. A caller reported to police that Joseph Dowd, 36, of Alameida Rd in West Roxbury, was causing a disturbance. Dowd was arrested and then reported having chest pains, according to the log. As a result, he was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Stoughton Police responded to an alleged noise complaint at a Chestnut Street residence on April 21, but were met with resistance and were attacked by a group of perpetrators.
Stoughton Police arrested four people Saturday night after they allegedly attacked the officers who responded to a Chestnut Street residence for a noise complaint. Stoughton Police arrived at 20 Chestnut Street at 9:03 p.m. on April 21. Officers were met by a “belligerent” Antonio Millner, according to the Stoughton Police Department’s Facebook page. Executive Officer Robert Devine said Millner was yelling and screaming that the officers were trespassing. “After several attempts to calm the situation, officers attempted to place Milner under arrest,” according to the SPD Facebook page.
