PHOTOS: Stoughton Democrats Gather to Watch President Obama's Inauguration

Stoughton Democrats joined local Democratic Town Committees at the Suffolk Grille in Canton to watch the second inauguration of President Barack Obama.

The Stoughton Democratic Town Committee, together with the Democratic Town Committees of Sharon, Canton and Easton, gathered at the Suffolk Grille on Washington Street in Canton Monday, Jan. 21 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day), to watch the second inauguration of President Barack Obama. Democratic Party Candidates for Governor's Council to Debate Wednesday

Democratic candidates for Governor's Council in the second district (which includes Stoughton) will participate in a debate at the Morse Institute Library in Natick on August 8.

The Morse Institute Library and the Natick Democratic Town Committee will host a debate on Wednesday between Democratic candidates for the Governor's Council in the second district. The second district includes all of parts of 39 towns, including all precincts in Stoughton. The debate will be at the Morse Institute Library at 14 East Central St. in Natick. The candidates – Brian Clinton, Robert Jubinville, Patrick McCabe, and Bart Timilty – will debate at a 7 p.m. event that is open to all. The 8-person Governor's Council is the oldest elected body in Massachusetts, predating its statehood.
