A BUSY WORKSHOP: Santa’s Elves aren’t the only ones busy in a workshop. Monday night, the Community Preservation Act Workshop drew a large gathering in the Great Hall on the third floor of Town Hall. For three hours, the crowd ate, talked, and shared their vision of what Stoughton’s CPA dollars should fund. The Community Preservation Act levied a small tax on all real estate transactions. Funds can be used by the town for Historic Preservation & Resources; Affordable Community Housing, Open Space, and Recreation. CPA Committee Chairman John Morton said he was looking to accomplish more than the usual public hearings. Community Preservation Committee Public Hearing and Workshop The Community Preservation Committee will be having a Public Hearing and Workshop on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 7 p.m. in the Great Hall on the third floor of the Town Hall. The Stoughton Community Preservation Committee (CPC) is preparing a plan on priorities for allocating Stoughton's Community Preservation Act (CPA) funds. The purpose of this meeting is to receive public comments regarding the needs, possibilities and resources of the town regarding community preservation.
