Santa stopped by the set of Community Forum to meet and greet local children. The show will be aired on SMAC from Dec. 23-27.
The Stoughton Fire Department’s Ladder 2 delivered some precious cargo to the Stoughton Media Access Corporation (SMAC) on Thursday, December 16—Santa Claus! Santa was greeted by a group of children, eagerly awaiting his arrival. The children were from all over Stoughton and attended the South, Gibbons, Hansen, Jones, and the O’Donnell Middle School, as well as Creative Preschool. Once inside the children were escorted one by one to meet Santa. Santa was sure to ask if the child was good all year, to which one boy replied, “sometimes.” The list of present requests was diverse. SHS Music Department Presents 2011 Holiday Concert The Stoughton High School Music Department will present their 2011 Holiday Concert on Friday, Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will feature the SHS Concert Choir and SHS Jazz Choir under the direction of Griffin Coombs. Over the next week, Santa will be at the YMCA, at Stoughton’s annual Christmas Parade, and on the set of the Community Forum local access program.
Stoughton residents don’t necessarily have to travel to the mall to meet Santa Claus before Christmas. Over the next week, he will be in town at the following events: Breakfast with Santa at the YMCA This Saturday, Dec. 10, from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Stoughton YMCA auditorium, come and have breakfast with Santa. There will be crafts, stories, music, raffles, and more. Breakfast will be catered by Peppercorns Cafe. The cost is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Registration is required by Dec. 7.
