Stoughton Reads Together - Civil War Remembrance Join the Stoughton Public Library for a day of Civil War Remembrance with a parade, reenactments, camp, drills, bayonet and cooking demonstrations with the Massachusetts 12th Volunteer Regiment and the 54th Volunteer Infantry, Company A. It takes place from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Stoughton Public Library and at Faxon Park. A full event schedule is posted here and here.  2. FRIDAY MORNING HISTORIC TOUR: On Friday, April 20, starting at 10 a.m., there will be a guided 1.5-mile hike from the picturesque Bradley P. Lessa Playground on West Street to observe vernal pools, budding trees and plants, the Gilbert Quarries, and the Benjamin/Lemuel Bird family barn cellar.  This is a massive stone structure, with entrance paths newly-cleared by Gerry McDonald of the Conservation Commission.
