Help a Stoughton-Based Youth Cheerleading Team Compete at Disney World

GLITZ, one of the Jamz All-stars cheerleading teams, is holding a fundraiser this Sunday to raise money to take part in a national competition at Disney World.

The following is submitted to Stoughton Patch by JAMZ All-Stars: GLITZ, one of the teams for the Stoughton-based Jamz All-Stars Competitive Cheerleading program, competed at the New England Cheer and Dance Competition on Nov. 10, 2012 where they earned a bid to compete at the UCA All Star Nationals in Disney World on March 9 and 10.    In an effort to raise money to attend this competition, JAMZ is hosting a buffet breakfast at the Sao Joao Club at 845 Washington Street in Stoughton, this Sunday, Jan. 27 from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m.  The cost is $7 for adults, $5 for kids & seniors, and kids under 5 are free.  The Sao Joao Club is graciously donating the use of the hall and all of the food, so 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the …

Stoughton Cheerleading Program Holding Fundraiser for Family of Norton Girl Killed in Route 24 Rollover

Angel Pina, 12, of Norton, died following a single car rollover on Route 24 on the Stoughton/Avon line on July 12. Cheer Nation of Stoughton will be holding an open tumble fundraiser this Friday, July 20 for Angel's family.

A Stoughton cheerleading program will be stepping up this Friday to hold a fundraiser for the family of Angel Pina, the Norton girl who was was killed following a tragic single car rollover on Route 24 southbound on the Stoughton/Avon line. Just 12-years-old, Pina was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. The crash also hospitalized two other Norton women, including Pina's mother, Sandra Ouellette. Pina recently finished fifth grade at the H.A. Yelle School in Norton, according to a release from the Norton Public Schools. She was scheduled to attend Norton Middle School in September. Stoughton Youth Cheerleading JAMZ All Star Teams Excel at Springtime Classic

Team Dazzle from the Stoughton-based JAMZ All Star Cheerleading program placed third, while Team Jewelz placed second.

The following is submitted to Stoughton Patch: JAMZ All Star Cheerleading, a cheerleading program based in Stoughton, recently competed at the Springtime Classic in Westfield, MA. There were 115 teams that competed at this competition. Team Dazzle took third place in their category. The JAMZ All Star Dazzle team members are: Desirae Carter, Michelle Doherty, Mckenzie Finnerty, Isabella Hobbs, Olivia Ihenacho, Jocelyn McKenna, Amanda Mellyn, Mikaela Murphy, Alecia Nunes, Jocelyn Purdy, Marina Russo, Arianna Thomas, and Emily Wilson. This was the first competition for JAMZ All Star Jewelz. Team Jewelz took home a second place trophy. Stoughton Youth Cheerleading Group Dazzles Way to First Place

Team Dazzle from the Stoughton-based JAMZ All Star Cheerleading program placed first at the Beantown Classic at the end of February.

The following is submitted to Stoughton Patch: JAMZ All Stars Cheerleading is proud to announce that one of its teams, DAZZLE, placed first at the Beantown Classic in Boston on February 25.  JAMZ All Stars is a brand new, all-star cheerleading program new to Stoughton.  It has only been in operation since November of 2011.  JAMZ is owned and operated by Christine Russo, Niecia Nunes, and Aimee Packard – all Stoughton residents.  Practices are held at Somersault Gymnastics Center, Page Street, Stoughton.  The Dazzle Team, led by coaches Christine Russo, Niecia Nunes, and Laura Tyrrell, worked very hard to win this award.  Members of Jamz All Stars Dazzle are Desirae Carter, Michelle Doherty, Mckenzie Finnerty, Isabella Hobbs, Olivia …
