The Massachusetts State Senate passed a $1.5 billion transportation bond bill that will fund transportation-related projects throughout the Commonwealth for Fiscal Year 2013, Stoughton’s State Senator Brian A. Joyce announced in a press release on April 19. The legislation also includes $200 million in Chapter 90 funds for cities and towns across the state to use for rebuilding and repairing local roads and bridges. Stoughton is slated to receive $772,462 in Chapter 90 funding, according to the press release. This is $2,292 less than the Chapter 90 funding set aside for Stoughton for this fiscal year ($774,754).
