VIDEO: Owl Rescued at Cedar Hill Golf Course in Stoughton

Stoughton Police, with the help of some volunteers, rescued an owl stuck in netting at the Cedar Hill Golf Course in Stoughton. Take a look at a video of the rescue.

Stoughton Police, with the help of some volunteers, rescued an owl stuck in netting at the Cedar Hill Golf Course on Park St. in Stoughton last Saturday morning, March 30.  Police received a call reporting the incident at 9:18 a.m., less than two hours before the start of the Stoughton Community Events Committee's Annual Easter Egg Hunt, which was set to take place at Cedar Hill.  The owl was found tangled in a net, hanging upside down, wrote Laurie Cushing, who uploaded the video she took of the rescue.  After the owl was removed from the net, it was taken to a medical center for animals in West Bridgewater, according to the Stoughton Police log.

Gallery: Stoughton's Annual Easter Egg Hunt (2013)

Hundreds gathered at the Cedar Hill Golf Course the day before Easter to find eggs and meet the Easter Bunny in an event sponsored by the Stoughton Community Events Committee.

The Cedar Hill Golf Course was the place to be in Stoughton the morning of Saturday, March 30. The Stoughton Community Events Committee was holding its annual Easter Egg Hunt.  There were hundreds of children and their families waiting in line to meet the Easter Bunny and the others ready to make a mad dash across the golf course which was covered with easter eggs ready to be picked. I've been told that Farmers Markets are awesome. I work with a guy who hits one in Cambridge and he shares stories of unbelievable great deals and specials. I'll be sure to hit the Stoughton Farmers Market on Sat 10/06. Is that the parking lot in front of Podhale Deli and those other stores? I wonder how this will affect Shaws, Stop-n-Shop, and Roche Bros? It should be good for us consumers.   more ›
