After taking on Sharon Jan. 14, the Stoughton High indoor track teams competed for the second time in as many days with a non-conference meet against Cardinal Spellman High School at the Reggie Lewis Center on Jan. 15. Stoughton's Matt Anastasi was informed last week that he has been selected as a member of the Brockton Enterprise All Scholastic Football Team. The Cardinal Spellman High School sophomore proved why during his team's Thanksgiving Day game Wednesday night by running for more than 200 yards and two touchdowns in a 26-23 victory over Archbishop Williams. This earned him the MVP of the game for Cardinal Spellman (6-4). Anastasi ran for 1,435 yards during the regular season and scored 10 touchdowns in an amazing year for a high school sophomore. He also added hundreds of offensive yards for his team in pass receiving, as well as returning kicks and punts. More importantly, Anastasi has a 3.9 grade point average and will be inducted into the …

STOUGHTON GIRL GETTING A KICK OUT OF SOCCER SUCCESS! Stoughton's Adriana Forcucci was born and raised here. She started playing Stoughton town soccer at age six. Adriana has also played club soccer for the Scorpions for the past six years. She is a freshman at Cardinal Spellman High School in Brockton and even though she is just in her first year there she made the varsity soccer team there. She is a forward on the team, and quite a prolific scorer! She is listed on Boston.com High School Girls' Soccer scoring leaders in the Catholic Central League, with 9 goals and 5 assists for a total of 14 points. Her team is currently 15-0 heading into an October 24 match at Bishop Stang. Her jersey number is “lucky 13." Stoughton is proud of …
