Stoughton Man Arrested for Alleged Armed Robbery at Canton Gas Station

The incident occurred at Austin's Mobil gas station on Washington Street in Canton shortly after midnight on Friday, police said.

Editor's Note: The following information was obtained through a press statement from the Canton Police Department. Arrests mentioned do not indicate conviction.  A Stoughton man was arrested in Canton early Friday morning after he allegedly robbed Austin's Mobil gas station at 2776 Washington Street (Route 138) in Canton near the Interstate 93 interchange, according to an announcement from the Canton Police Department.  Carlos Omar Santiago, 35, of Stoughton was arrested without incident. Typically, when the Stoughton Police and Fire Departments trade in their guns and hoses for hockey skates they are on opposing teams, but this past Saturday, the SPD and SFD joined forces at the Metropolis (Ponkapoag) Ice Rink in Canton for the Fifth Annual Charity Hockey Benefit.  Members of the Stoughton Police and Fire Departments played on a split-squad team against the Randolph Police and Fire Departments. That game was followed by the Canton Police and Fire Departments taking on the Boston Police. Randolph and Boston both skated to victory.  All proceeds from this year's event went to the family of Canton Police Officer Rafael Centeno, who recently passed away from pancreatic cancer. Stoughton Police, Fire Departments Joining Forces for Charity Hockey Game

The Fifth Annual Charity Hockey Benefit, played March 9 in Canton, will aid the family of Canton Police Officer Ralph Centeno, who recently passed away.

While later this month they will go head-to-head in the annual Guns 'N Hoses hockey game, the Stoughton Police and Fire Departments are joining forces this upcoming weekend to help the family of a fellow first responder.  On Saturday, March 9, the Fifth Annual Charity Hockey Benefit will take place at the Metropolis (Ponkapoag) Ice Rink at 2167 Washington St./Route 138 in Canton at 8 p.m. All proceeds from this year's event will go to the family of Canton Police Officer Rafael Centeno, who recently passed away. Admission is free and donations will be accepted at the door. The benefit will include a chuck-a-puck contest, auction items, raffles, a live DJ and prizes. Stoughton Police Assist in Million Dollar Marijuana Bust in Canton

A Brooklyn man was arrested in Canton on Friday for allegedly accepting nearly 300 pounds of marijuana. Stoughton Police assisted in the arrest.

The Stoughton Police Department along with other state and local police agencies arrested a Brooklyn, New York man in Canton this past Friday for allegedly accepting a marijuana delivery valued at nearly $1 million, according to reports.  Thomas Jin Kim, 30, of Brooklyn, was taken into custody after taking possession of nearly 300 pounds of pot, according to MyFoxBoston.com, and was subsequently charged with trafficking in marijuana. Canton police made the arrest shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 15, assisted by Detective Sergeant Robert Welch of the Stoughton Police, Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office, and members of the Drug Enforcement Agency, according to the Boston Globe and MyFoxBoston…

Stoughton Police Assist Norfolk County DA in Making Local Drug Bust

Norfolk DA Drug Task Force and local police arrested a Canton mortgage broker and three associates seizing as much as 70 pounds of alleged marijuana and $110,000 in possible drug proceeds.

Man Charged for Allegedly Pulling Gun During Argument at Stoughton Gas Station

A 26-year-old Raynham man allegedly threatened the operator of another vehicle with a gun during a Friday morning argument at the Mobil Station at the corner of Washington and Central Streets in Stoughton.

An argument at a Stoughton gas station escalated when a Raynham man allegedly threatened the operator of another vehicle with a gun, according to the Stoughton Police Department's Facebook page. The alleged incident happened Friday morning, July 27, around 7 a.m. at the Mobil Station at the corner of Washington and Central Streets. The operator of one vehicle, 26-year-old Frederick Baker, is said to have "pointed a firearm at and threatened the operator of the second vehicle," according to Stoughton Police. Baker left the Mobil station and then traveled into Canton. However, he was stopped and held by Canton Police on Randolph Street in Canton. Canton Police arrested a Stoughton man as part of a drug bust, which also involved several Canton residents, early Friday morning, confiscating drugs and a gun after an investigation. Stoughton Police, with the assistance of three other police departments, executed a drug bust Friday night at a Stoughton residence.

The Stoughton Police Department executed a search of a Stoughton residence Friday evening, which resulted in the recovery of multiple drugs and the arrest of a Stoughton man. Stoughton Police, under the direction of Detective Sgt. Robert Welch, served a search warrant at 47 Wheeler Circle #152 at 8 p.m. on Jan. 6, recovering 8 pounds of marijuana, hundreds of Percocet pills, a handgun and $80,000, according to the Stoughton Police Department’s website. Police Investigating False Robbery Report At Shaw's Supermarkets in Stoughton, Sharon and Canton

Stoughton Police report receiving false calls about robberies at the Shaw's in Stoughton and in Canton, while Sharon police dealt with a false report in their town.

Recent false robbery reports at the Shaw's Supermarkets in Shaw's Plaza in Stoughton and in Sharon and at the Cobb's Corner Plaza in Canton have police looking for answers. In a press release, Sharon Police said a 911 call they received around 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday stated a robbery was happening at the Shaw's in Shaw's Plaza, on South Main Street in Sharon. The responding officers determined the report was false, police said. Sharon Police said they also learned that Stoughton Police received a call earlier Wednesday, "where a male stated that the Shaw's in Canton was being robbed. This also proved to be false."
