Daddy's Dairy, which has locations in Stoughton and Randolph, is expanding once again.  Daddy's third location will be on the Easton-Brockton town line in the Owen O'Leary's Plaza on Belmont Street in Brockton. Owners Traci Segal and John Minihan are aiming to open there at the end of July or early August. "We have a lot of Easton customers in Stoughton alone," Segal said. "It’s a good location, so we’re excited. We usually go to Back Bay Bagel over there and we saw a couple of spots open. It’s pretty late in the season for us to get open. We’re usually open by March. But, because of the timing of the space, with Stonehill kids going back to school we figured it would be OK." Segal and Minihan's Stoughton location celebrated its second …

While at Cobb's Corner a couple of weeks ago I happened by the Sparkle Day Spa and dropped in to check it out. The entire place was geared toward LITTLE GIRLS. The pedicure chairs were shaped like butterfly wings and the decor looked exactly what you'd expect Barbie and her friends' day spa to look like. They offered things like the "ice cream pedicure." As I was leaving a young woman walked in …   more ›

Good Samaritan Celebrates Opening of New ER

Good Samaritan Chairman of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Richard Herman, is pleased with the new facilities. The hospital, located in Brockton, serves the Stoughton community, as well as a number of other Brockton-area towns.

Since taking over as Good Samaritan Medical Center's Chairman of Emergency Medicine in 2006, Richard Herman, MD, has dreamed of a new, state of the art facility where privacy was the norm, technology was up-to-date, and patients felt comfortable. It was a dream he had since day one, and one that many had before him. "When I came to Good Sam five years ago, there was a cabinet in my office filled with past blue-prints and designs for a new emergency department. It’s a project that this hospital and medical staff has been trying to get off the ground for a long time. For one reason or another the funding has not been available." When Caritas Christi, of which Good Samaritan was a part, merged with Steward Health Care System last year, though…
