Man Arrested For Trying to Break into Stoughton Home Urinates on Floor of Police Station

A Mattapan man allegedly attempted to break into a Stoughton home in the early morning hours of March 30 to continue a fight which started in Brockton. Once arrested, the man acted "completely belligerent," according to police.

A Mattapan man faces several charges for allegedly attempting to break into a Stoughton home early Saturday morning and for uncooperative behavior once placed under arrest, including urinating in the booking room of the police station.   The alleged incident stems from a fight which started in Brockton, Executive Officer Robert Devine said.  Michael Sherrod, 35, of Arborcrest Terrace in Mattapan, reportedly followed those involved in the fight back to their home in Stoughton on Rogers Drive. Sherrod then tried to kick the door in, smashing the bottom of the door in, trying to continue the fight, Devine said. Stoughton Man Arrested for Alleged Home Break-ins Around Mansfield

A Stoughton man was arrested in Mansfield March 19, and faces multiple charges following a number of alleged break-ins around that town.

A Stoughton man was arrested in Mansfield March 19, and faces multiple charges following a number of alleged break-ins around that town.  While on patrol around Old North Trail and Mayflower Dr. in Mansfield, officer Thomas Connor noticed a male on Donegal Way shortly after 9 a.m. on March 19. Observing the male, Connor called for backup. Later, officer Richard Hopkins reported one witness who observed the male walking around the neighborhood in a suspicious manner.  The male was identified as Ryan Wilson, 24, of Kinney Ct., Stoughton. Wilson was wanted on an outstanding warrant for allegedly breaking in to houses in the area and was soon found and arrested. Downtown Eyesore to be Rebuilt After years as a public eyesore, the former home of Cheng Du on Washington St. in downtown Stoughton, owned by the Parsons family of Malcolm and Parsons, may soon be rebuilt.   The building first suffered a fire a few years ago back in October of 2009, and then the roof collapsed under snow the following winter, in January of 2011. Pair Arrested for Malicious Destruction of Property on Hunt Dr. in Stoughton

The alleged incident took place the early morning hours of July 1 and resulted in the arrest of two Braintree men.

Two Braintree men were arrested early Sunday morning in Stoughton, both charged with "malicious destruction of property" on Hunt Dr., according to the Stoughton Police Department's Facebook page. The police log states a caller reported a rock being thrown through the front window of a 45 Hunt Dr. home at 3:25 a.m. on July 1. Hunt Dr. is located off Plain St.  Officers responded to the scene to find "significant landscape damage to the Hunt Dr. neighborhood." Officer Joseph Zbinski located two males in the area, and after a K-9 track and the collection of additional evidence, determined they were the two responsible parties, according to the department's Facebook page. Teens Allegedly Held at Knifepoint at Stoughton's Skate Park Stoughton Police responded to the Stoughton skate park, located behind the stands of the Stoughton High football field and across from the O'Donnell Middle School, at 5:04 p.m. on April 13 for a report of stolen bikes. Stoughton Police Arrest Suspect From Weekend House Break-in

Police arrested a 23-year-old Stoughton man for allegedly breaking into a home on Ewing Dr. on Saturday, Jan. 21.

Stoughton Police arrested a 23-year-old suspect in an alleged house break-in on Saturday, according to Acting Police Chief Robert Devine. Nicholas Anderson, 23, of 70 Phillips Ave. in Stoughton was charged with breaking and entering. Stoughton Police Officers Owens and Curtis responded to a breaking and entering call on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 4:43 p.m. on Ewing Dr.   Devine said the homeowner entered the home, heard a commotion and saw the suspect jump out a second floor window, land on the deck, and take off.   Under the direction of Lt. Stoughton Police Foil Bob’s Foodmart Robbery

A Brockton man was arrested for allegedly breaking into Bob’s Foodmart in Stoughton early Sunday morning and then fleeing the scene.

Stoughton Police interrupted a break-in at Bob’s Famous Foodmart on Park St. early Sunday morning, resulting in the arrest of a Brockton man. Dominique Dixon, 22, was charged with breaking and entering for a felony; malicious destruction of property; larceny over $250, and mistreating a police dog. Officer Ed Barker was traveling down Park St. and saw Dixon fleeing the scene with a trash barrel full of items from the convenience store, Stoughton Police Executive Officer Robert Devine said. Dixon had allegedly smashed the glass front door of Bob’s to gain entry around 12:20 a.m. on Dec. 18. After Barker spotted Dixon, the suspect fled. Pair of Canton Men Arrested for Breaking into Stoughton Residence

Dominique Purvis, 18, and Brian Matthews, 17, were arrested Thursday afternoon for allegedly attempting to break into a Central Street residence while the homeowner was there.

Two Canton men were arrested last Thursday for allegedly breaking into a Stoughton residence and then fleeing from the scene when police arrived. Both were caught not far from the break-in and were arraigned at Stoughton District Court on Monday. According to Stoughton police, Dominique Purvis, 18, of Andrea Dr. in Canton, and Brian Matthews, 17, of Bailey Court in Canton, kicked in the back door at 2081 Central St. in Stoughton Thursday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. The two then hid behind a fence waiting to see if there was a response before entering the home, Stoughton Police Executive Officer Robert Devine said.
