Three Adults Arrested in Stoughton Baby Shower Brawl Plead Not Guilty; Released on Bail

A brawl broke out a baby shower at Club Luis de Camoes on Porter Street late Saturday night with four people getting arrested, including one juvenile. The three adult men pleaded not guilty to charges in Stoughton District Court on Monday.

The three adult men arrested in the brawl which broke out at a baby shower at Club Luis de Camoes on Porter Street in Stoughton late this past Saturday night, pleaded not guilty to charges in court on Monday and were released on 1,000 cash bail each, the Boston Herald reports. Paulo Pires Depina, 24; Aderito Lopes DeAndrade, 22; and Patrick Cardoso Lopes, 24, all from Brockton, were arraigned in  Stoughton District Court Court Jan. 15 for their alleged roles in the incident, which has made headlines locally and nationally. The three will return to court March 1 for a pre-trial hearing, according to the Herald. A 14-year-old from Brockton was also arrested, but is being dealt with in juvenile court. A brawl broke out a baby shower at Club Luis de Camoes on Porter Street late Saturday night with four people getting arrested, including one juvenile.

BABY SHOWER TURNS INTO BRAWL: A baby shower at Club Luis de Camoes on Porter Street Saturday night turned into a full-fledged brawl that took 20 police officers nearly an hour to quell. Four people ended up getting arrested, including one juvenile. A Stoughton Police detail officer was working the 9 p.m. to midnight baby shower on Jan. 12, when a fight broke out inside the club. The officer called in backup, and at 11:38 p.m, there was a full brawl in progress that had spilled outside the building. Executive Officer Robert Devine told me that the time the incident occurred was of benefit to the police. "We had our midnight shift coming in, so we had more bodies that we'd normally have." We do live near a club, you are right Jackie, but we do not live near a night club. There is clearly a difference. You are a member of this club, you are not here at 1am when the parties let out to be woken up by people yelling, car stereos being blasted, horns beeping, and it does happen a lot more than people think.
