Patch is unveiling a “Best Of” series this week, which will allow readers to vote for their favorite businesses and places in Stoughton. To kick things off, we’re asking where the best place is to get a sandwich in Stoughton. Sandwich, hero, hoagie, grinder, sub, whatever you want to call it—it’s a simple concept—two slices of bread with a layer of meat, fish, spread, vegetable, etc. in the middle. But which place in town does it best?  Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. this Friday (March 2). We will announce the winner at noon on March 2. "Five Things you Need to Know Today" is a Patch column that provides readers with essential, daily information at a glance. 1. Stoughton Youth Baseball American League Tryouts Stoughton Youth Baseball will be holding tryouts this Saturday, Sept. 17 for the upcoming 2012 American League Division. Tryouts will take place on Goff field at the VFW Fields Complex on Elm St. Tryouts for interested players who will be 11 or 12 as of April 30, 2012 and who are not already in the American League will take place at 4:30pm. Tryouts for interested players who will be 10 as of April 30, 2012 will take place at 5:30 pm. All players must attend at least one of the tryouts to be eligible for the American League draft.
