Falling behind 16-2 just five minutes into the game, and trailing 20-7 by the end of the first quarter, the Stoughton High boys' basketball team never recovered from a slow start, losing 61-41 to Hingham in the championship game of the 2012 Blue Devils Holiday Classic Sunday afternoon at Randolph High. Hingham extended its lead to 37-17 by the half and 51-20 by midway through the third quarter. Stoughton went on an 11-0 run, which spanned the end of the third and start of the fourth, but Hingham quickly ended any hopes of an improbable comeback.
