Blizzard of 2013 Recap: The Latest on the Storm in Stoughton

Stoughton deals with minimal power loss during blizzard, but major cleanup process begins after blizzard dumped more than 30 inches of snow on the town.

Click here for the most recent storm updates *** Top takeaways from this weekend's blizzard: Stoughton Got a TON of Snow The Stoughton DPW estimates the town received approximately 32 inches of snow. Meanwhile, WBZ reported on its broadcast that Stoughton had 31.5 inches of snow. It was the second highest snow accumulation total WBZ collected, only surpassed by West Boylston, which WBZ said received 34.5 inches.   The town, for the most part, was effectively shut down Saturday as DPW crews and residents began the cleanup process. A lot of work remains to be done. Stoughton Storm Center: Town Battered by Blizzard

Stay up to date with the latest on this weekend's winter storm.

A storm called "Nemo" is expected to cause all sorts of problems this weekend. Stay up to date with the latest storm-related information here (some information courtesy of Stoughton town officials): SUNDAY UPDATES * Library Director Pat Basler said the Stoughton Public Library plans to open at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 11 * Fire Chief Mark Dolloff reports that as of 4:33 p.m. Sunday, only 18 customers are without power in Stoughton as a result of this weekend's storm.  * The Public Service agencies of Stoughton would like to ask the residents to please clear away the snow from the street drains near your home. Update: Saw on Facebook that the Last Shot and Cheng Du all plan to open Saturday at 5 p.m. The Village Pub had planned on opening but a pipe broke and they have no water so they will not be opening.   more ›
