Gallery: Stoughton High Boys' Basketball Falls to Franklin in Defensive Battle

The Stoughton High boys' basketball team lost 54-47 to Franklin Friday night. Take a look at pictures from the game in the media gallery of this article.

Photos in the gallery by Justin Braga and Jeffrey Pickette *** Locked in a back-and-forth defensive battle, both the Stoughton High boys' basketball team and visiting Franklin struggled to shoot the ball, combining to hit only 33.3 percent of their attempts in a performance Stoughton coach John Gallivan quipped "set the game back offensively a few decades." But, Franklin made a couple of key shots in the final minutes of play, and converted its free throw opportunities down the stretch to pull away, beating Stoughton 54-47 Friday night at SHS. With the loss, Stoughton falls to 2-4, with three of the losses coming in the waning moments of the fourth quarter. Franklin, meanwhile, gets back to .500, improving to 3-3. "It looked like at the …

VIDEO: Thousands Rally to Send Patriots off to Super Bowl XLVI

The New England Patriots held a Super Bowl XLVI rally inside Gillette Stadium Sunday before departing for Indianapolis, where they will play the New York Giants on Feb. 5.

FOXBOROUGH – Roughly 15,000 fans from all over New England gathered inside Gillette Stadium Sunday to send the Patriots off to Indianapolis for Super Bowl XLVI. Patriots owner Robert Kraft and the New England Patriots organization made the event free to the public and gave players and coaches an opportunity to address Patriots Nation before leaving town on "business." Perhaps different from other Super Bowl trips in recent years – five in the last 11 years to be exact – the Patriots appear to have a renewed sense of focus and are determined to do whatever necessary to win their next game.
